Splendid Fred was born in the University of Winchester, but has grown into a team of people helping our city to stay in the know about all things entertainment. Whether it’s film, music, video games, or local events, we’ve got you covered. And if fiction is more your thing, we have a newly curated section just for you. Our team is made up of volunteers who are here for the joy of writing about what they love and sharing it with the world, so you can be sure you’re in for a quality read.

Note: Our articles are written by dedicated volunteers with a passion for their subject areas. Opinions expressed in any articles are those of the writer only and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Splendid Fred and its team as a whole.

A statement about AI

Splendid Fred is an entirely human-created magazine. We are against the use of AI to create content and as such do not use it to write articles or produce any form of content online. However, as a human magazine we sometimes make human mistakes. Occasionally we may share content from other sources that was created through the use of AI without our knowledge. We do our best to keep our magazine AI free, so please be patient as our vigilant team work to keep content based only on the human-made work you know and love.
