I used to long for sleep at night

To close these weary eyes,

And dream of worlds in amber light,

Of suns in golden skies,

A starry sea; a voiceless vow

To find a finer shore

But sailings so much harder now,

And takes a little more.

I’ll stay awake a while and take

The comfort here, and then

Perhaps, at last, I’ll dream to wake

In amber light again.
